She probably took two Hawaiian shirts from her brother’s closet.

These pieces were reinvented using leftover AZ Factory fabrics, as part of our wider Reworked project, an initiative that aims to give a second life to garments no longer in use.

READY-MADE-COUTURE by Cyril Bourez is a unique upcycling product story containing 35 one-of-a-kind styles handcrafted from ready-made vintage, thrifted garments, and fabric stock. Cyril's original concept involved collecting variations on the archetypal “boyfriend t-shirt”, and elevating them into couture pieces (traditionally made for women), transforming a stereotypically masculine and slightly cliché garment into avant-garde silhouettes. The result is a heartfelt and improvised project expressing Cyril's own interpretation of "athletic-couture", with sporty boyish garments playfully reworked into high fashion pieces.
